Florida Bass Reports

Florida Everglades Bass Fishing Video Link

When: Jan 27, 2011
Where: Miami Canals
Lenny Sortino finished
his three day trip to south
Florida Peacock Bass
catching in Miami. He
boated 19 peacock bass
up to three pounds all on
live bait. The water is finally
starting to warm up which
will mean incredible days
catching these beautiful
fighting fish which can only
be caught in South Florida.
You can also inquiry about
catching Peacock Bass in
Brazil which we can help
you arrange the trip of a
lifetime.

When: Jan 26,2012
Where: Lake Okeechobee
Lenny Sortino fished with
us now for his 5th time and
did quite well on bass and
peacock bass fishing. We
started on Lake Okeechobee
with Lenny landing this nice
7 lb. largemouth bass on a
shiner in Pelican Bay. Day
two we fished the north near
Henry Creek area and
caught at least 20 bass up
to 7 lbs. with quite a few over
4 lbs. What a great week on
Lake Okeechobee.

When: Jan 18,2012
Where:Lake Okeechobee
Kelly & Robert Cimato
were out for a day of
shiner fishing on Lake
Okeechobee and landed
these nice 8 lb. and 7 lb.
beauties on the south end
of the lake. Okeechobee
is red hot right now and
should stay good for
months until the water
becomes to hot. But then
the Florida Everglades will
become red hot. We are
so spoiled in South
Florida when it comes to
bass fishing.

Florida Bass Fishing
Lake Okeechobee 8 lbs.South Florida Bass fishing has been awesome and only going to get better as the largemouth start feeding in post spawn on Lake Okeechobee and the water levels in the Florida Everglades are dropping which turns on the big bass bite. Lets not forget the peacock bass bite which only gets better in South Florida as the water heats up, what's not to like about fishing in southern Florida in the spring time. We've been quite busy fishing and not posting so it's time I've caught up. Each trip has been wonderful with largemouth bass up to 8 lbs. on Lake Okeechobee and peacock bass up to 4 lbs. in Miami.

Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing
lake okeechobee 5 lb. largemouth bassLake Okeechobee is still producing good catches of largemouth bass despite bad winds the lake has been getting on the southside. We've had multiple shiners trips on the lake over the last few weeks and here's an example of what you can catch flipping the reeds on Lake Okeechobee. This nice 5 lb. largemouth fell for a creature bait flipped into a heavy mat of reeds. The late spring months on Okeechobee are going to be incredible so book now while dates are still available.

Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing
Lake Okeechobee 5 lb. Largemouth BassIt's been pretty decent fishing on Lake Okeechobee the last few weeks and would be even better if the wind and rain would stop? The wind has been blowing for three weeks straight causing havoc on the South part of the lake. It's bringing in dirty water which can slow down the fishing. John caught this nice 5 lb. largemouth bass near Long Point on the southside of Lake Okeechobee near Belle Glade. The guys caught about 16 bass in about 5 hours despite torrential downpours and high winds.

Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing
Lake Okeechobee 7 lb. Largemouth BassIt's been great on Lake Okeechobee this year and now that the water is up it couldn't be much better! Allen & Mitchell Hubbard from Massachusetts were out on Lake Okeechobee with us today and the guys landed about 20 largemouth bass with this beautiful 7 lb. bass Mitchell caught. The young man also caught two about 6 lbs. also. When the water cools down it's going to even get better. By mid afternoon the water temperature was still in the high seventies which is a little warm for this time of year. Now that winter is upon us that will change quickly.

Florida Peacock Bass Fishing
Miami Butterfly Peacock BassFlorida Peacock Bass is doing fine this week after the hot summer we've had. Now that the water is cooling down the fish will begin to congregate and spawn here shortly. The water temperatures are now back in the mid seventies which will put the peacock bass into the spawning mode. We caught 15 peacock bass on Tuesday October 25 in the Miami C-100 canal all on artificial lures with plenty of short striking fish also. Live bait should also work well now.
