  • Scott Jungmichael and his buddy Chris from Texas have been out with us three times now to land the big peacock bass. Well Chris final did get his big 6 lber today on a rattletrap and Scott boated his biggest peacock ever at 5 lbs. The guys totaled 26 peacock bass today. On Saturday May 3rd we headed out to the Florida everglades and Scott and Chris and I boated over 60 bass up to about 4 lbs. We seen quite a few bigger fish swirl on our lures but they saw us and split! You can catch them on artificial if you know what's happening right now.

In four hours the guys boated fifteen peacock bass to 3 lbs. all on live bait. Thank you guys and hopefully we see you again soon here at South Florida Fishing.

  • WHEN: Tuesday May 13, 2008
  • WHERE: Miami Canals
  • Lou Rojas and I were out today bass fishing in the South Florida Everglades for largemouth bass. It was a little slow in the morning after the mild cold front pushed through the night before with very high winds all day yesterday. Clear blue skies and no wind had the bass somewhat skittish. The first 4 or 5 bass I missed were quite good sized fish, but after awhile they started to feed pretty good and we boated 33 bass up to 4 lbs. When the wind and clouds come back tomorrow the fishing will improve quickly.
